B.K.S Iyengar, world famous expert and exponent of yoga, systematised 200 yoga postures and studied their therapeutic applications. Born in Bangalore in South India in 1918, he has been teaching and demonstrating yoga throughout the world over sixty years. He has several million students and has established yoga centres all over the world. He has written many books especially Light on Yoga (1964) that has sold over a million copies across the world. His list of students includes violinist Yehudi Menuhin, the late J. Krishnamurti, Aldous Huxley and European royalty.
